Earth Hour

Well I did my part. I managed to for entire hour not use anything that required real electricity. I lit about 10 candles or so and lived as I would normally except with only the light of each flame. I managed to do my 20 minute ab workout, I lifted some weights, did some push ups, played with JJ and finally took a shower. My initial plan was just to head to my rooftop to watch the skyline in all it's darkness however I decided that ultimately I wanted to work out tonight too before I head out to this party, so I prioritized looking good over looking at a bunch of darkened buildings. After I did my things I ended up making it to the rooftop with JJ anyhow for about the last ten minutes of "Earth Hour"... it wasn't anything special. I suppose I expected more lights to be out, but I guess being the largest city in the country that's not entirely possible. I wonder how much fun some of my friends had down at City Hall. Nelly Furtado was doing a free show in support of the cause. I'm not a fan of crowds, especially free-loaders so I thought it would be best to skip the event. How did you spend your Earth Hour?

Has it really been almost a month?

It wasn't my intention to ignore you for so long.... it really wasn't. For the longest time I've just felt like there hasn't been alot to say. My life is very much in a holding pattern right now and while some weeks have been pretty fruitful, other weeks have been drier than the Arizona desert. It seems to be all about the hurry up and wait, hurry up and wait and then at times wait some more. I've got several "irons in the fire" so to speak in regards to job prospects so it's not like I'm moping around dwelling on my sorrows. It really is just a matter of time, what I didn't expect though was how much time it really would take. All is good though so keep your fingers and toes crossed for me.

Loving M's new track "4 Minutes"... I think that this forthcoming record "Hard Candy" will help her commercially in the US where her radio play has been lacking with her last two records. I loved "Confessions..." but I think it was still too euro for mainstream America. Not that I care all that much what America thinks but from a artistic relevancy stand point it's helps to have a couple hit songs on this side of the pond. If it makes the critics back off just a little bit, the "R & B" flavoured dance record she's about to deliver should be a great success. The album drops April 29th...

"I Dream of Spring".... where is it? I was doing some research on the weather network's website and it turns out that this has been the "coolest" (and I don't mean that in a good way) March we've had this decade! Normally weather doesn't sway me much one way or the other but after this horrible winter we've had I am ready to feel the warmth of the sun. I find it hard to believe that in a month's time there's a potential to be drinking beer on a patio somewhere wearing nothing but a light hoodie and maybe even flip-flops. That's crazy talk right now! Poor JJ longs to chase squirrels in the park and I long to chase boys...

Till next time...
