I'm Home!

A lot can happen in a couple weeks... so much so that I've decided to separate posts. If you all recall in my last post I was on the hunt for a home and after seeing about 12 or so places I finally landed on a space that I really liked. I had put offers out on two other places. The last of which really took me for a ride but with that being said it was all the more reason why it wasn't meant to work out.

I'm less than a month away now till I move into my new digs. I wanted a short closing as it saves me a month in rent - money that could go towards closing costs. It's about 200 sq. ft bigger than the space I am in now so I'm really looking forward to not feeling so restricted. It's got all the features that you would expect with a newer building such as the amazing facilities, great finishings, etc. I'm going to do some painting before I move in to make the space more my own. I have my first visit today in a couple hours. I'm excited as I haven't seen the place since the initial showing. I'm bringing the friends with me of course to show it off - the journey begins!

House Hunting

I'm on the prowl for a new place to live. After ten years of renting in this great big city I am taking a dive into real estate and buying my first condo. I really only began my search just over a week ago but I feel like I've been doing it for longer. I saw about 6 places last weekend and I am hoping to match that record this weekend with my realtor Jenny. We have hit it off well so it's makes the whole process much more enjoyable. I am pretty aggressive so hopefully she can match that as the weeks go on. I'm checking MLS.ca daily hoping for something good. It's really no different than searching for a boyfriend on PlentyofFish.com - small photos, odd descriptions I mean the whole experience is very similar. Anyway wish me luck in my hunt as there doesn't seem to be too many "hot ones" - once again something relatable to POF.... ha ha just kidding.
