Time for an update!

Wow you go away for a few months only to come back to see how different everything is on here. All the things I'm used to seeing have been changed and I'm left to fend for myself as I navigate through the new interface. I supposed I am to blame for neglecting my blog this year. Especially being that in my last post I committed to writing more and sharing my experiences.

This month (June) is one of my favourite months of the year. There always seems to be such activity in my world both socially and with work. The next few weeks are quite exciting indeed.

It's the MMVAs and NXNE here in Toronto. Two events that bring the music megapowers to the city. I was able to meet Carly Rae Jepsen yesterday at a signing she did for hmv. I remember her quite vividly from her Canadian Idol days and I am happy for her that she is now finding international success with her single "Call Me Maybe". I'll admit I wasn't drawn to the song when I first heard it, but several house parties later it grew on me and now it's on my gym playlist. Today I am meeting Perez Hilton at another hmv signing. I'm looking forward to chatting with him about his evolution from a hate blogger to his new mantra which seems to be about all about love. Tonight I have tickets to his MMVA party which will be crazy fun - I just need to psych myself up to going as the thought of being around so many people is not something I'm fond of as much anymore.

Later this week we kick of Jazzfest and again the Superstore is hosting an off-site for the event and we are having signings and such over the 10 day festival. I really enjoyed immersing myself last year in it so I think that this year will be even better as I know more what I'm doing.

Derrin is away for 2 weeks on a training trip with work. It'll be weird not to have him here. Thankfully I still have JJ to keep me company in the lonely nights.

Pride is not too far off either. I'm looking forward to some good times with friends more than anything else. Gone are the years of going to the parties and the beer gardens, I'm more interested in relaxing and getting to have some crazy fun.

Well if all my posts could be so simple I would write more. On that note I will say Happy Father's Day to my Dad who I've been without for 17 years now. As hard as that is to believe - I think about him almost every day. I love you wherever you are. XOXO.
